What is your definition of the word "tolerance"? Using that definition, explaing whether or not you believe that Islam is a religion that tolerates other religions. You must provide support for your answer either way. A simple "yes" or "no" is not acceptable.
my definition of tolerance is being able to deal with something you do not like and islam does tolerate other religions because it is accepting of anyone of any religion
ReplyDeleteEdward Gosta- Tolerance means to being able to deal with things and accepting others for who they are. Islam is a religion that does not tolerate other religions because they don't believe in other gods.
ReplyDeleteJavier A. Stephens - Tolerance to me means how much you can take. Also tolerance means to accept other things or people no matter what. From what the Qur'an says Islam is intalerant of other religions. It says, that other religions are false and ways of life is unacceptable. Even though the Qur'an says that, the creator said to be tolerant of other religions. So to asnswer that question i would say yes the Islam religion is tolerant of other religions.
ReplyDeleteLouis Iannotti- my definition of tolerance is what you can handle. I think Islam dosent tolerant other religions because they do so many things for there country such as praying five times a day faceing mecca and also Fasting.
ReplyDeleteRobert Keefe - The word tolerance has many different definitions for many different appliances. In my words, tolerance is the state of being accepting of others, which most people in the modern world have for others. I believe that Muslims have tolerance for other religions other than their own. This is because of how they will allow Muslims to convert to other religions, and have the same beliefs as they do. Muslims are intolerant of false ideas, but will accept the beliefs and practices of other religions.
ReplyDeleteMy definition for tolerance is respect and how much you have for someone or something. Even for religion you may have tolerance because to respect and priase your gods, and the lack of respect for other religions and other gods.
